Hello Plovm Community,
Welcome to this week's curated collection of articles that matter. We've gathered perspectives on global events to keep you informed and engaged.

In an industry facing a persistent skills shortage, cybersecurity companies cannot afford to overlook any potential talent pool. While many organisations implement diversity initiatives as broad compliance exercises, some companies are taking a more strategic approach by specifically championing neurodiversity – not just as a social good but as a competitive advantage.
Consider penetration testing or Security Operations Centre (SOC) analysis, where unique cognitive approaches and exceptional attention to detail can make the difference between detecting or missing a sophisticated threat. Many neurodiverse individuals excel at pattern recognition and logical thinking and can focus intensely on complex problems – precisely the skills needed to identify vulnerabilities and anomalies that neurotypical analysts might miss.

Did you know that around 5% of adults in the UK have ADHD, but nearly 85% of them are undiagnosed? In the workplace, many navigate work life with ADHD without knowing.
A lack of resources and awareness means that countless individuals go unsupported in the workplace. Media portrayals of people with ADHD have historically been oversimplified and misrepresented, with ADHD being portrayed as loud, disruptive and common among children.
Leaders play a critical role in dispelling stereotypes and shaping how organisations support neurodivergent employees. Their understanding of ADHD can significantly influence workplace culture.

The US Supreme Court has ruled unanimously that the Trump administration must try to release a Maryland man who was mistakenly deported to a mega-jail in El Salvador.
In a 9-0 ruling, the justices declined to block a lower court's order to "facilitate" bringing back Kilmar Abrego Garcia, but they also said Judge Paula Xinis may have exceeded her authority.
Mr Garcia, a Salvadoran, is one of dozens of alleged gang member migrants placed by the US on military planes last month and flown to El Salvador's notorious Cecot (Terrorism Confinement Centre) under an arrangement between the two countries.

A string of fatal drug-related shootings in the heart of the city that houses the EU's institutions brought home just how far Brussels has fallen: bankrupt, plagued by violence and crime, and politically wrecked.
In the first month and a half of the year alone, 11 shootings claimed the lives of two people and injured another four. They haven't stopped. Unthinkable just a few years ago, the attacks betray a city in sharp decline and reveal the desperate need for some strong political leadership.
The capital's debt stands at over €14 billion, without counting the €1.6 billion it's projected to add to that this year. Belgian newspaper Bruzz calculated that the deficit ― the difference between how much it spends and brings in ― is increasing by €4 million every day.
