Inclusive UX Trailblazer & Autism Advocate

With over two decades of experience, this engineer has been a driving force in innovation for learning, communication, and human behavior. As the former CEO of Instituto Leo Kanner, she led efforts to provide therapeutic and educational services for autistic individuals, advocating for stigma-free education.

Now, as a Co-Founder of Plovm, autism advocate, and board member of the Autistic Society in Norway, she shapes user experiences to ensure technology connects, understands, and empowers. At Plovm, she trains service providers and enhances the platform's inclusivity and accessibility for everyone.

Her journey showcases the transformative power of technology combined with human empathy, making her a catalyst for change in the digital landscape. She creates a world where every interaction is meaningful and every user’s need is met with intuitive solutions.

Maria is an Honorary Founder of Plovm and a passionate advocate for neurodiversity and universal design. With over five years of experience in data and its real-world applications, and four years studying neuroscience and bioinformatics at the University of Nottingham, she brings a rare combination of scientific thinking and human-centred perspective to everything she is involved in.

Her background spans data science, SaaS marketing automation at Bas Kommunikasjon, and full-stack development β€” always with a focus on building technology that is intuitive, robust, and human-centred. She founded Circular Startup: Venture Studio at Startup Norway aand previously served as a delegate for the NUS at the Disability Society at the University of Nottingham, reflecting a long-standing commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.

Her belief that technology should adapt to people β€” not the other way around β€” helped shape the foundation of what Plovm stands for.
